They had nothing to say to each other

They had nothing to say to each other. The two 6 year old boys sat in little chairs facing each other in the small living room; which was a mess. Kevin and Artie received a huge lecture about how fighting was wrong from their mother, who was standing over them, waiting for the two to apologize.
I couldn’t help it though, thought Kevin, he took my favorite truck. I had to beat him up! Kevin was the oldest of the twins, and by his standards, the cutest, which gave him a big ego. Artie disagreed though, He thinks he so much better than me because he’s older! I just wanted to play with his truck but he wouldn’t let me!
“Come on boys, apologize!” their mother demanded.
They stared at their feet, unwilling to say anything. Their mother then commanded them to stand up, she turned their chairs around to face opposite walls and said, “Now, you both can sit there until you are ready to apologize,” the boys sat down and she walked into the kitchen. They crossed their arms, refusing defeat.
